I. Solutions for you
1. Your benefits:
We can act as your purchasing or sourcing department but we will never take
over from you fully. Our main intention is to stay independent with a high
added value for you and your staff. In this way you can benefit from an experienced
team of experts when and where you need it. Our external team of highly motivated
experts is immediately available on location.2. First-time outsourcers
2. First-time outsourcers:
Even if you have no experience in sourcing from countries far away, we are
your partners during this process. We will assist you with selecting the right
partners. Partners having similar activities, the same attitude or a comparable
size, advise you in making the right agreements and contracts, help you to
organize a purchasing line or chain, prepare and guide your purchasing department,
if necessary in detail, advise you in finding the right logistic partners,
inform you about the trade barriers and most of all the cultural differences.
We can guide your procurement staff to make the first steps in going global.
3. Production re-location:
If you approach us with such kind of request we will treat that as a project
and make a pre-calculation on that basis. Many more aspects then have to be
addressed and much is depending on the size and complexity of such assignment.
It also depends on how much you want us or our network to be involved. Through
our experience with this kind of assignments we have to treat them individually.
4. Licensing or joint-ventures:
These are complicated matters and only few are really successful. Many aspects
have to be considered and we have to involve highly specialized people with
knowledge of international law and patent rights. We gladly undertake such
assignments and will very critically observe about the success factors. If
you want us to be on the side-line and only act as your advisor, we will be
your partner as well.
II. Procedure:
1. Search and source:
Immediate solutions are not always there. In those cases you can use our network
members. Only when our experts are convinced we propose a new source of supply.
2. Local inspection:
Why not avoid costly letters of credit? Why not avoid disappointments? Our
local experts can clear shipments for you, so-called pre-export inspections.
They can inspect products, production, certification and more.
Just let us know in a detailed manner what you need to have inspected. Just
click the link to fill in the inspection form.
3. Assured deliveries:
Our local experts check the production progress for you. At several stages
they will be involved. Think of procurement of raw materials, process control,
quality checks, conservation, packaging and shipment.
They reduce the chance of surprises to the minimum and assure timely deliveries.
4. Associate with us:
We are flexible and, in principle, can have any kind of arrangement with you.
Let us begin with a first assignment where we can prove our abilities. The
first assignment has to be well documented by specifications and drawings
and we will ask you what exactly you are looking for in terms of partner choice,
location, quality, price, delivery time and terms.
From one successful assignment comes the next. If you are pleased with our work, you may assign long term projects to us or even assign us for more ofyour sourcing activities. As we mentioned before, we are flexible.
5. How we earn our money:
In case we connect you to a company, active in one of the CBI export development
programmes you will not pay commissions to us, as the Dutch government already
pays us for this work. Please read below how things work in case you deal
with other companies.
We have or will make arrangements with the party abroad to pay us a small commission on the business we generate. That amount will be divided in a portion for us, another portion for the local expert and an equal portion for our franchise organization to cover for the operational cost and promotion.
III. About us
1. History:
Started as consultants for the outsourcing sector twenty years ago and working
for several import and export promotion organizations in the world, we have
conducted more than 600 export audits worldwide, organized and executed at
least 100 different seminars and workshops on trade related technical issues,
have made more than 20 publications and gave lectures in numerous seminars.
We are also present as coaches for hundreds of exporters in the engineering
sectors at international exhibitions both in Europe and elsewhere.
2. Specializations:
The most of added value we can deliver is in those areas where we have conducted
projects before. These are numerous in the fields of materials, machinery,
engineering, process technology, metal working, automotive and electrical.
In addition we can draw on the specializations that each of our network members
has built up over the years. Of course we also master all the subjects that
are related to international business, including standards, regulations and
import/export matters.
3. Technical known-how & qualification:
We have a thorough understanding of most aspects of engineering products and
where they can be produced best, how processes can be optimized and what the
cost of manufacturing and investments should be. All members of our network
are engineers in mechanical, material, production, machine-building, electrical,
chemical, instrumentation or processes. They have a long term experience in
international trade and management. Every inquiry is a challenge for us and
we have a growing ability to undertake complicated and hard to find solutions.
4. Cultural experiences:
By now we have audited so many companies in different parts of the world,
which have all been prepared for exports to Europe. During our audits we look
at all relevant issues for professional exporting. Once the company is accepted
we coach the management several years in all aspects of globalization. Communication
is not always easy and one has to take unexpected differences in understanding
and local situations into account. All the accumulated experience is made
available to you, without extra cost.
IV. Global sourcing:
1. Change and trends:
All tendencies indicate that global business is growing and emerging markets
are taking advantage of that. Structures change in Europe because of that,
but by no means does that affect our economies, on the contrary. There will
be a new world order for sure; we have to adjust to new situations. Sometimes
change is the only certain factor but we know better than anyone else that
our flexibility will make us survive, if we dare to adopt.
2. Pitfalls & obstacles:
In every country there are cultural differences and some have a typical effect
on how business is done. Use our experience so that you have an early warning
and can take care of your interest before things go wrong. We advise you on
contractual or payment terms and can organize alternatives to safeguard your
reputation and prevent damaging the relation with your customer.
V. Networking
1. Cooperation partners:
As you can see from the charts on our website we are foremost but not only
active in India, where we have a very dense network of colleagues, each with
their own track record and specialties. All people that have a close tie with
the business, as it is done in Europe. In other parts of the world we are
actively sourcing in South and Central America, South and North Africa, Pakistan,
Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey and Central Europe. With most of our colleagues
in these locations, we have daily contacts.
Wherever we can we will give preference to companies who are part of the CBI Export Development Programmes. These companies were subjected to a thorough export audit, in many cases performed by ourselves.
2. European partners:
We are a fully independent company and well connected to all sources of information.
But sometimes we have to make use of local colleagues in other EU member states.
This European network is growing rapidly whereby we try to add more specializations,
contacts and experience.
3. Worldwide references:
Our main client is the Dutch Ministry of Development Cooperation; more specifically
the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI). We
have also performed similar activities for other Import Promotion organizations
in Europe. In developing countries we have worked for IMC in Cairo, IGEME
in Ankara and several sector associations in other countries. In the recent
past we have performed activities for EBRD, UNIDO and the European Union.
The local members of our network each have their own references. Amongst them a number of multinational companies, but at the same time also small and medium sized companies. We are more than happy to inform you about them upon request.
4. Local sourcing contract
Another option is that our local experts act on behalf of you as
an agent in their territory. In that case they will prove to be knowledgeable
sourcing engineers and can perform a variety of activities for your company.
From identifying, qualifying, raw material purchase monitoring and inspection,
production flow watch, final control and pre-export inspection. All this on
your behalf and at a pre-determined commission fee over the business generated.
We can make such a contract with you.
5. Our network:
